Hi everybody, my name is Diany, and I’ll show you my review of my simulation for a graphic designer job interview. This activity belongs to Video entrevista virtual.
Instructions: Make a video in which you develop a simulation job interview application for a graphic designer job. During the interview, you have to answer at least 6 questions on the list:
1. Tell us about yourself.
2. What motivates you?
3. What are your hobbies?
4. What are your future plans if you get this job?
5. What are your future goals, or where are your career goals?
6. What do you see as a major success in your life?
7. Why Did You Leave Your Last Job?
8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
The teacher, María José, recommended a few videos on YouTube about graphic design job interviews as a guide. We had a chance to use questions that were not from the instructions. In addition, we had to choose a partner who could be a classmate, a friend, or a family member as an interviewer.
Actually, I picked my aunt Raquel as a partner because she lives with me, and it was easier to schedule a time to practice and record her part. My program is a virtual career in which there are students from different locations in Colombia that schedule a date with a classmate is hard.
Next, I took my notebook and wrote a script for my video and shared it to my aunt. Then, we practiced pronunciation, and I recorded her voice with a Mobile app called Grabadora de Voz Fácil. Later, I dressed up nicely to look professional and practiced to sound more natural and kind in the interview. Finally, I recorded myself and edited my clips and voice recordings.
I enjoyed this exercise. A job interview in English is more common every day as a graphic designer because too many foreign companies are looking for great workers online. And if you are not prepared to speak correctly and confidently, you won't be chosen. So, my suggestion is making more activities like this one.
Ok, thank you for reading this post. See you soon!
