Cover Letter - Dunkin Donuts.

So this time, I'll talk about cover letters for Documento escrito.

Instructions: Write a cover letter applying to a company where you would like to work as a graphic designer.

For people who don't know, a cover letter is a letter where you explain the reasons why you want to apply for a job, proving you are the perfect worker for it.

When I did my exercise, I thought about the Dunkin' Donuts company. For the technical area of my program, I designed a promotional flyer for the same company and I remember seeing its Instagram account, and I liked the content marketing. I thought its Instagram was creative and fun, and I wanted to be part of it. 

Okay, I recognized that I have a long way to go before being a professional so in my exercise-cover letter, I needed to make up my skills. In the first place, I explained the reason for writing them (Dunkin) and then I spoke about my experience, my soft and language skills. Moreover, I attached my CV and recommended seeing it, for last I said goodbye politely and signed with my name.

I think cover letters are a good practice for working vocabulary. Talking formally is so different from casual chats with friends and family. Sometimes we forget that we are learning English to get opportunities to apply for better jobs. The majority of graphic design jobs are remote or freelance and are offered by foreign companies. It's so important to speak and write fluently to get a chance.

It would be good having a few exercises like this one along the English course.
